http://www.MoneyMarketingSuccess.comUnless one has never done so before, starting an online business is a snap, and it can be up and running easily in as soon as 24 hours from its inception.
The key to starting an online business is a system of organization and an objective. This means that a plan outline is necessary to ensure that the process from a simple idea to public facilitation is clear, smooth and brings forth no problems whatsoever. Such a plan outline should contain, among other things, the viable considerations listed below:
1) A clear and feasible idea for a business - What is the purpose of the business? What kind of merchandise and/or services are to be offered and why? The idea should have a simple and accessible objective established before any other action is taken.
2) A distinct target audience - What type of person or clientele is the business designed to accommodate? Beatle fans? Opera lovers? Single mothers? Amateur photographers? Bibliophiles? Gardeners? Mechanics? . . . The business and its site must appeal to the taste and needs of that particular target audience, so unless the entrepreneur already has knowledge in that area, research is crucial.
3) A business philosophy and Mission Statement - these two must be clear so that the business has its own distinct identity, attitude and sense of direction. This includes merchandise ordering and return policies.
4) A site blueprint - Blueprints of the site include each page and what that page will provide, including products with visuals and description blurbs , subscription templates, discussion forums, tutorials, company background, etc. These pages should be set up in tree formation to show how pages connect and which pages will contain which links. Advanced blueprints feature colored depictions of exactly how each page will appear when completed.
5) A template or set of templates - These templates should be designed to facilitate the needs of the site, as well as each page. One basic template can be used and modified for each additional page (especially for consistency in design) or a separate template can be obtained for each page. Those entrepreneurs starting out should remember that templates have a price, and each template can run anywhere from $30.00 to $200.00. Purchasing a different template for each page can run into some money, so thought is important before buying anything.
6) An Editor - Editors like Dreamweaver or Front Page can be downloaded or purchased in any computer software store. The website pages are made with the help of an editor and saved online through a host.
These are only the first few steps, but once these are accomplished, the rest will just fall into place, especially after the website is launched.
In the end, whatever one decides to do, a step-by-step process is required to ensure the best possible results and ongoing success in the business.
